The Sheriff operates the County's Jail. The Corrections staff consist of a Correctional Officer Supervisor and four Correctional Officers. The Calhoun County Jail was built in1946 and is the third Jail in Calhoun County's history.

Visitation 
Visitation for inmates in the Calhoun County Jail is accomplished each Tuesday beginning at 2:00 PM and ending at 4:00 PM.

Inmate Money

  The Sheriff's Office has contracted with a private sector vendor, Swanson Incorporated, to provide a commissary program for the inmates to buy canteen items. If you wish to contribute money to an inmate's commissary account bring a money order or cashiers check to the jail and request that it be applied to the inmate's account. Ensure that checks and money orders are made payable to the Calhoun County Inmate Welfare Account. A receipt will be provided by the Jail staff.
